Erase my data

What we hold about you is here because you asked for a beta code, used the beta or wrote to us, and it goes when you say so. This form is the shortest way to say so; replying to any email from Multitake works just the same.

  1. 01

    You send this form

One field: the address you used. It is the key everything is filed under.

  2. 02

    You confirm from your inbox

An email arrives with two buttons: confirm or cancel. Nothing is deleted until you press confirm, otherwise this form would be a way to erase somebody else's data. If you do not answer, two reminders follow, after 7 and 15 days, and at 30 the request lapses without deleting anything.

  3. 03

    Done within a month

After you confirm, usually within days. A last email tells you when it is done. The month is the deadline the GDPR sets (Art. 12(3)).

What is deleted. Your access request — name, email, the Mac and the lines you wrote — every invite code issued to you, and the messages you sent through the contact form. An erased code stops working, so ask for this when you are done testing. What the app sent while it ran — install records, usage counts, crash and bug reports — is kept against a random install number and the code; with the code gone, nothing ties it back to your name any more. Your recordings are not with us: they stay on your Mac, and deleting them is up to you.

The address you used for the access request.

In short. The controller is Fabio Della Selva, the developer of Multitake. This request is itself kept — your address and what you wrote — for one purpose: to carry the erasure out, starting with the email that asks you to confirm it, and to be able to show it was done in time. That is a legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)), not a consent: which is why there is no box to tick here. When nothing of yours is left, this record goes too. The long version is in the privacy notice.
